October 24, 25, 26 & 27, 2023 from 1pm-4pm

This 4-day, fun class, will cover all the basic key aspects of painting in oil.  You will learn how to get started and create your Landscape painting.  Please bring a reference photo of your choice from which to paint.  The topics covered are as follows:

• Daily demonstration

• Discussion of materials

• How to create a painting from a reference photograph

• Discussion of focal point, composition, visual elements, edges…

• Making a thumbnail and value study

• Mixing colors using a limited palette

• Techniques for applying paints

• Individual help at your canvas
