I recommend Arches 140# cold pressed bright white. Paper can be another brand but must be professional quality. No Strathmore or Canson. Fabriano is ok. I recommend the painting be 11” x 14” but they can paint any size, as long as it’s no larger than 16” x 20” for space constraints.
I would love it if they can have it drawn, but I will bring light boxes for those who don’t. I like them to make the painting size 11” x 14” with about an inch border all the way around. So paper 13” x 16”. I suggest they buy a large sheet and cut it down, because smaller pads are very expensive and you can’t usually buy individual sheets of Arches smaller than 22” X 30”.
